North Alta Ventures is located in North Star, Alberta, Canada in the Boreal  Region along Highway 35 (McKenzie Hwy.), 360 miles North of Edmonton, Alberta, and only 4 miles south of Manning, Alberta. North Star is the gateway to some of the most remote and best remaining Guided Big Game Hunting and Photographic areas in all of Canada. North Star is also on the first northern flyway for all migratory birds flying south.

Our Headquarters, 1 ¾ miles west of North Star, Alberta, is accessible all year by motor vehicle or aircraft. We have a paved, lighted, maintained Airstrip located 6 miles north of our headquarters for private aircraft. We meet all our clients who do not arrive by auto or private aircraft at the Peace River, Alberta Airport or the High Level, Alberta Airport.

We mainly hunt in a 150 mile radius of our headquarters, utilizing several cabins and/or tents depending on the area and species hunted. All hunts are fully equipped for food, cook, guides, licenses, tags and accommodations. All the hunter requires are his/her personal gear, weapon of choice and bedroll, we arrange everything else for you. All hunts are fully equipped for transportation by A.T.V., boat or air access to remote locations where no one has access by vehicle.

Our experienced guides are devoted to your success, which in turn is our success! Our success ratio has earned us a world wide reputation amongst big game hunters. All of our Canadian moose hunts, whitetail / mule deer hunts, and elk hunts are fair chase and A.T.V.'s are our main means of transportation except for black bear hunts which are over bait with a two bear limit per hunter.

We prefer 6 hunters to each camp, however we are flexible as there are variations on opening and closing dates for each game species. All hunts are arranged to coincide with the legal seasons for the species being hunted. Whether you are a lone hunter, travel in pairs or groups, we accommodate all hunters and guests to complete our camps and assure all a pleasant stay whether hunting or a accompanying guest.
